Hello, and welcome to our first ever blog post! I’m Helen, and together with my husband Ian, we’d like to warmly introduce you to Infinity Pet Crematorium, nestled in the beautiful village of Thornton-le-Dale, near Pickering.
For many local families, this place already holds special meaning. We want you to know that the same spirit of care continues – now with a renewed focus on gentle, individual cremations and personal support for every pet and family who visit us.
As lifelong animal lovers and proud locals, caring for pets and their families has always been close to our hearts. I grew up on my family’s farm just outside Pickering, and Ian’s a Thornton lad through and through – so our roots in the community run deep. Between us, we share our home with four dogs, three cats, and two horses – six of them rescues – so we truly understand how much our pets become part of the family.
After spending six years working in a local veterinary practice, I came to realise how deeply people value compassion and clarity when saying goodbye. Those moments deserve time, patience, and dignity – and that’s exactly what offer at Infinity Pet Crematorium.
We’re a small, independent pet crematorium, offering individual cremations for complete peace of mind. You’re welcome to spend time in our farewell room, a quiet, private space to say goodbye in your own way and remember all the love and laughter your pet brought into your life.
Infinity is fully licensed and inspected by APHA/DEFRA and North Yorkshire Council, so you can be confident that we meet the highest standards of care. But more than anything, we’re here to listen, to understand, and to make sure your final goodbye feels personal, peaceful, and kind.
